🕍 Jewish Synagogue (Paradesi Synagogue)

Built in 1568 by the Paradesi Jewish community, it is the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth.

It showcases rare antiques, hand-painted Chinese tiles, and has deep ties to Kochi’s Jewish heritage.

🏰 Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace)

Originally built by the Portuguese in 1555 and renovated by the Dutch in 1663.

It served as a royal residence and now houses Kerala murals and exhibits of the Kochi royal family.

⛪ St. Francis Church

Constructed in 1503 by Portuguese Franciscan friars, it is the oldest European church in India. Vasco da Gama was buried here in 1524 before his remains were moved to Portugal. ⛪ Santa Cruz Basilica

Built by the Portuguese in 1505 and later rebuilt by the British in the early 20th century.  It is one of the most impressive Gothic-style churches in India, known for its ornate interiors and artworks.

💧 Valara Waterfalls

Just a few kilometers from Cheeyappara, Valara features a scenic single-drop fall surrounded by dense forest.

The area is known for its rich biodiversity and is a great spot for nature lovers.

🌿 Spices and Ayurvedic Garden

These gardens showcase Kerala’s rich tradition of spice cultivation and Ayurvedic healing.  Visitors can explore various medicinal plants, learn about natural remedies, and buy authentic spice products.

💧 Mattupetty Dam

Built for hydroelectricity and water conservation, the dam offers boating and panoramic views of the hills. It is a tranquil spot surrounded by forests and often visited by elephants.

🔊 Echo Point

A scenic spot near Mattupetty where voices echo back from the surrounding hills.

It’s a favorite stop for travelers, especially families and kids, for its fun natural acoustics.

🐐 Eravikulam National Park

Home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, this park is famous for its rolling grasslands and biodiversity. It also hosts the seasonal bloom of Neelakurinji flowers, which appear once every 12 years.

• Post Breakfast, drive to Alappuzha(Alleppey), also called the Venice of the East (approx.05.30hours)
• Check into the Houseboat by Afternoon
• Lunch will be provided in the Houseboat.
• Entire day to enjoy the backwaters and village areas of Alappuzha
